The perception of body image is a subject that is prevalent in society today. With an aim to address the challenges created by media culture and to stimulate conversation about how the human form should be described, Ridiculous is contemporary, current and provocative. Emma Fay, Juliette Burton and Adam Pearson have collectively confronted the ridiculous standards of accepted body image prescribed by popular magazine culture in the culmination of an innovative series of artworks.
The artworks will be exhibited at Leicester’s Attenborough Arts Centre from Saturday 28th January to Sunday 5th February 2017. Please join us for a Preview Evening on Sunday 29th January, 5-8pm.
To accompany the exhibition, Juliette Burton will be performing her award-winning show, Look At Me, and delivering an educational workshop on comedy writing. For full details on the exhibition and programme, please visit attenborougharts.com
